Thuy Linh Tu is the author of The Beautiful Generation: Asian Americans and the Cultural Economy of Fashion and co-editor of Alien Encounters: Popular Culture in Asian America (Duke University Press, 2007) and Technicolor: Race and Technology in Everyday Life (NYU Press, 2001). Her writings also appear in the journals American Quarterly (2010) and Wasifiri (2005), the anthology AsianAmerica.Net (Routledge, 2003) as well as in numerous artist and exhibition catalogs.
Areas of Research/Interest: Asian American studies, popular/visual studies, and immigration and labor studies.
